Hello Morning

The date was November 29, 2013.

We were headed to Buford for a party at a friend's house. On the drive, while browsing the Internet, I noticed that Amos Lee (one of our favorite singer-songwriters) was performing at the Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta. We made the sudden decision to delay our arrival at the party and pulled off on the next exit to find a Ticketmaster location. Sporadic decision... something I loved about us. We purchased our tickets, reset our GPS and headed on our way!




Along the route we stopped to buy Red Bull, knowing we had just extended our night by a few hours. (also because we needed something to mix our vodka in for our 'pre-show' cocktails) Once inside we shared nachos and admired the giant Christmas tree. We laughed about how mixed the crowd was, we shared a crown and cranberry and you bought a tee-shirt. (you thought it was a sign because it had an owl on it and I like owls...)

Our seats were SO close to the stage.. we had no idea they were such good tickets. There was a lady next to me that had come by herself and complained that the lines for beer was too long so when you excused yourself to go to the restroom, you purchased a beer for her. The opening act was a soulful singer-songwriter we had never heard of - Mutlu - but we quickly grew to love him as a performer. He was a more playful and relaxed version of Amos Lee and really captured our attention. The entire show ended up being amazing.. we laughed, we held hands, we swayed with the crowd.. that part of the evening was so great.


The date is April 17, 2014.
